In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) has become a prominent trend for businesses worldwide, and the banking industry is no exception. This sector is undergoing a significant transformation driven by advanced technologies, with AI at the heart of this change. As part of this shift, banks globally are investing heavily in AI to enhance customer experience, optimize operational processes, and strengthen their competitive edge in the transition from traditional retail banking and digital banking to AI banking.
The banking industry is also one of the sectors with the highest level of AI maturity, with 85% of banks having established AI strategies for developing new products and services. Moreover, more than 59% of banking personnel are already using AI in their daily work. Spending on generative AI by banks is projected to soar to $85 billion by 2030, a significant increase from $6 billion in 2024, marking a growth rate of over 1,400%.
