The USAID Improving Private Sector Competitiveness Project (USAID IPSC), in collaboration with FPT Digital, officially launched the “Sustainability Assessment and Strategy Development Consulting” initiative for LiveSpo Global (LiveSpo). The project’s goal is to integrate sustainability elements into LiveSpo’s business strategy through 2030, focusing on governance improvement, environmental impact reduction, and creating sustainable value for the community. This marks a significant milestone in LiveSpo’s journey, reinforcing its strong commitment to both community health and environmental protection.
LiveSpo, a pioneer in biotechnology, leads in research, development, production, and distribution of probiotics. LiveSpo® is the first Vietnamese probiotic brand to receive FDA certification from the United States. In its mission to promote “A Future Without Antibiotics,” the company has continuously expanded its presence to over 20 countries, including demanding markets like the U.S., EU, and China. The “Sustainability Assessment and Strategy Development Consulting” activity is part of USAID IPSC’s Pioneer Enterprise Support Program, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and managed by the Enterprise Development Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment. This initiative will help LiveSpo comprehensively assess the opportunities and challenges of integrating sustainability into its business operations and create an optimal implementation roadmap.
Amid increasing global regulations on environmental protection and reducing antibiotic use in healthcare, LiveSpo has chosen sustainable development as its core strategy. By selecting FPT Digital as a partner, the project aims for LiveSpo to receive in-depth support in assessing its current ESG status and building a long-term sustainable development strategy that aligns with international trends, leveraging successful case studies from major corporations.
Specifically, FPT Digital will focus on assessing the current situation, analyzing global trends, and conducting a SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and challenges for LiveSpo in the context of sustainable development within the probiotic industry. This initial step will help the company gain a clear understanding of ESG aspects in its current business operations.
Based on the assessment results, FPT Digital will continue to develop a strategic direction and clear ESG roadmap for LiveSpo. This process includes establishing a strategic vision with specific sustainability goals, as well as developing environmental, social, and governance initiatives tailored to the company’s context. FPT Digital will also assist LiveSpo in analyzing key leverage factors to select the most effective solutions for integration into the sustainability roadmap. The project will help LiveSpo choose the appropriate reporting standards in line with international practices and establish a monitoring and evaluation system to measure ESG performance annually.
The project is expected to be completed and published by 2024. Upon completion, LiveSpo will have a comprehensive sustainable development strategy, enabling the company to not only expand its international markets but also reinforce sustainability in all business activities. This strategy will include specific indicators and goals, allowing LiveSpo to measure its annual ESG performance, thereby enhancing risk management and optimizing resource use.

To achieve this, LiveSpo will focus heavily on developing probiotic spore products using advanced technology, aiming to protect consumer health and promote a future without antibiotics.
