At the 2024 Top 50 Vietnam’s Best Performing Companies 2024 ceremony, FPT was recognized as one of the top 50 most efficient companies in Vietnam for the year 2024. TOP 50 2024 is a prestigious ranking conducted annually by the Nhip Cau Dau Tu (NCDT) Magazine in tandem with Thien Viet Securities to honor the most effective companies on the Vietnam stock exchange. The ranking process took counsel from many economists and business experts who were Harvard Business School graduates, aimed at identifying and honoring companies that demonstrate efficiency in the Vietnamese stock market and contribute significantly to the ongoing growth of Vietnam’s economy.
In the 2024 list, the Information Technology sector features only two representatives, yet it stands out with impressive growth in revenue, return on equity (ROE), and stock performance. Outstandingly, FPT Corporation achieved a compound annual growth rate of over 21% in revenue from 2020 to 2023, with an average ROE of 27% from 2021 to 2023, and a remarkable increase of over 175% in stock price during the same period.
In the past three years, FPT has consistently maintained a return on equity (ROE) above 25%. As of October 10, 2024, the company’s market capitalization reached 8.4 billion USD. For 2024, FPT plans to achieve a revenue target of 61.85 trillion VND and a pre-tax profit of 10.875 trillion VND. By October 2024, FPT reported revenue of 50.796 trillion VND and a pre-tax profit of 9.226 trillion VND, reflecting increases of 19.6% and 20%, respectively, compared to the same period last year, aligning closely with the targets set at the beginning of the year. The net profit attributable to the parent company’s shareholders amounted to 6.566 trillion VND, demonstrating a growth of 21.4%, with earnings per share (EPS) reaching 4,494 VND, an increase of 21.1% from the previous year.
This performance highlights the rising demand for technology investments and reaffirms FPT’s strategic position within the industry. Over the past 36 years, FPT has consistently showcased its leadership by effectively managing risks and seizing opportunities for growth, thereby contributing to broader economic development and enhancing shareholder value, encompassing both financial and non-financial benefits.
FPT is strategically focusing its resources on five critical areas: artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductor technology, automotive innovation, digital transformation, and green technology. Concurrently, the corporation is intensifying its international market activities, with a goal of achieving 5 billion USD in IT service revenue from foreign markets by 2030, thereby further solidifying its standing among global billion-dollar IT companies.
The company’s performance and contributions have been recognized through a multitude of prestigious awards. FPT has not only maintained its position in the Top 50 Vietnam’s Best Performing Companies for 13 consecutive years but has also secured numerous accolades that underscore its industry leadership. These include recognition as one of the Top 5 Strongest Brands in Vietnam, Top 10 Companies with the Largest Brand Value Increase, and Top 12 Most Valuable Brands. Furthermore, it was honored as one of the Top 3 Large-Cap Non-Financial Companies with the Most Appreciated Investor Relations (IR) at the IR Awards 2024.
The data for the Top 50 ranking is collected based on the financial performance and trading results of the last four years (2020-2023), including net revenue, net profit, equity (recorded as of December 31 each year), and market capitalization (as of November 1, 2024). Stock prices are taken from the last trading day of each year. Key evaluation criteria include compound annual revenue growth over the past three years, average ROE, stock performance over the past three years, and market capitalization.
Over the years, the Top 50 has become a platform for the largest and most efficiently operating companies in Vietnam across various critical sectors such as technology, banking, manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and aviation. Notably, the continuous rise of private enterprises is marked by the emergence of numerous rapidly growing and sustainable stars that contribute to Vietnam’s economic ascent. The entrepreneurs and leaders of these companies deserve recognition for their positive contributions and the effectiveness of their billion-dollar firms, as well as for promoting Vietnamese brands on the international stage.
