As part of the WTO Chair Program for 2022–2026, Foreign Trade University hosted the Vietnam International Trade Forum (VFIT) 2023 on September 29, 2023, with the topic “Trade and Dual Transformation: Towards Green and Digital Transformation”.
State management agencies, embassies, universities, foreign organizations, and Vietnam’s green and digital transformation pioneers attended the event.
Head of the Department of Digital Economy and Digital Society, Ministry of Information and Communications Mr. Tran Minh Tuan declared digital transformation is the focus of society development in the near future if Vietnam wants to keep up with global growth and progress toward sustainable green transformation.
Mr. Le Huy Hoang, Digital Transformation Consulting Director at FPT Digital, and representatives from the Ministry of Planning and Investment, Ministry of Information and Communications, Foreign Trade University, and Van Bael & Bellis Law Office discussed Vietnam’s digital and green transformation in response to global challenges in the panel discussion.
The experts underline that digital transformation will aid green transformation and vice versa. Building a database that promotes digital transformation and cognitive change is crucial to Vietnam’s dual change. Vietnam must also create business support policies, collaboration initiatives, and coping techniques to handle transition issues.
