DxHub™ – Bridging businesses and experts in the field of digital transformation and green transformation

FPT Digital officially launched the DxHub™ series of events, providing opportunities to share knowledge and collaborate in the field of digital transformation and green transformation. DxHub™ 01 with the theme “CBAM Mechanism and Greenhouse Gas Inventory Guidelines for Manufacturing Enterprises” will help businesses with production and export activities to the European market understand regulations, reduce the risk of violations, and adapt well to the new requirements from this fastidious market.

DxHub™ is a series of events organized by FPT Digital to build a community, connect experts and businesses in a variety of fields and industries. The program is a place to update, share knowledge, experience, expert perspectives and connect businesses.

The program takes place monthly in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, with the participation of leading experts, pioneering businesses, and non-governmental organization. DxHub™ is a must-visit destination for individuals interested in business digitalization, gradually developing in a green and sustainable direction.

Each month, speakers who are business representatives from many fields will bring a comprehensive perspective on the challenges and opportunities in digital transformation and green transformation in Vietnam as well as share practical experiences when implementing and building sustainable development strategies. DxHub™ is also always updated with information related to new trends in business, technology as well as policy changes in Vietnam and around the world. In addition, DxHub™ is also a place for experts and business representatives to meet and exchange, laying the foundation for promising cooperation opportunities in the future.

DxHub™ 01 has the topic “CBAM mechanism and greenhouse gas inventory guidelines for manufacturing enterprises”. CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism) or Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism issued by the EU is an environmental trade policy that includes carbon taxes on goods imported into the market of EU countries based on the intensity of greenhouse gas emissions in the production process in the host country.

The EU has officially applied the CBAM in the transitional period from October 1, 2023 and submitted its first report before January 31, 2024. Accordingly, businesses will have to declare the import volume and greenhouse gas emissions contained in goods imported into the EU. Therefore, proactively adapting to CBAM is a problem that is being posed to many exporters in Vietnam, especially for industries such as steel, aluminum, cement, fertilizer, etc.

The program will share important information about CBAM, how to declare and plan for emission reduction. This not only helps businesses reduce the risk of violations but also contributes to joint efforts to reduce the impact of climate change, building a positive image for businesses in the community and the market.

The event will take place on Thursday, January 11, 2024 at 13:30 – 16:30 at Open Space, 8th Floor, FPT Tower, 10 Pham Van Bach, Hanoi with the participation of Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh, Digital Transformation and Sustainable Transformation Consultant of FPT Digital and Mr. Vuong Xuan Hoa, Deputy Director, Institute of Ecology and Environment, Expert on Climate Change and Sustainable Development.
