On August 30, Mr. Nguyễn Tuấn Anh – Director of Consulting at FPT Digital – led a training session on ESG-based sustainable development for manufacturing enterprises. The session was part of the “Digital Transformation – Green – Smart Industrial Zones/Smart Factories” event held in Bắc Giang.
The event was organized by the Bắc Giang Industrial Parks Management Board in partnership with the Vietnam Software and IT Services Association (VINASA) and the Vietnam Industrial Real Estate Association (VIREA). It attracted over 200 participants to various activities, including workshops, training sessions, solution exhibitions, and business networking.
Impact of Green Transition Policies
Mr. Nguyễn Tuấn Anh highlighted that both global and Vietnamese green transition policies—such as greenhouse gas inventories and the EU-CBAM mechanism—are having a direct impact on manufacturing businesses, especially those exporting to Europe. Companies identified by the government are required to submit their greenhouse gas inventory reports by March 31, 2025.
Failing to act proactively could expose businesses to significant market risks, policy non-compliance, and a loss of access to green financing opportunities.
Green Transition Solutions for Enterprises
During the session, the FPT Digital expert introduced international green building standards and energy solutions designed to foster the development of green factories and industrial parks. These topics were of particular interest to the Bắc Giang Industrial Parks Management Board.
Achieving a successful green transition in industrial zones requires a clear roadmap and the integration of digital transformation to deliver long-term benefits. This approach not only reduces costs and energy consumption but also improves brand reputation and ensures sustainable development aligned with global environmental and social standards.
