Petrolimex Joint Stock Insurance Company (PJICO, stock code: PGI) and FPT Corporation officially launched the digital transformation consultancy at Petrolimex Joint Stock Insurance Company (PJICO) for the period 2023-2028 on September 20, 2023 in Hanoi.
Petrolimex Insurance Joint Stock Company (PJICO), founded in 1995, is the first non-life insurance joint-stock business. With the goal of creating a digital business platform capable of running the PJICO ecosystem smoothly, PJICO sees digital transformation as an essential component of the path toward its mission of “bringing the highest value to insurance customers at PJICO.”
Mr. Pham Thanh Hai, Chairman of PJICO, opened the ceremony by highlighting some of the major considerations that led to PJICO’s choice to pursue the comprehensive digital transformation journey: “The Beginning of the digital transformation consulting project is the first major step in assisting PJICO in determining its ideal future direction.” We completely understand that digital transformation is an unavoidable trend for any growing company. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese government is putting in place a slew of regulations to encourage digital transformation. COVID-19’s major impacts are promoting the development of digital platforms, and customers are becoming more acquainted with the digital environment. Knowing the trend, PJICO prioritizes and invests heavily in information technology. Since 2019, PJICO has been implementing data digitization and process digitization with great results. We have developed core platforms to support operational management as well as additional specific areas in the future. Mr. Hai also anticipates that project implementation will continue in many areas between 2023 and 2028, with the goal of creating a digital environment, a digital culture, and a digital workforce. FPT Digital, a subsidiary of FPT Corporation that provides digital transformation consulting services to businesses, will be in charge of the Petrolimex Insurance Joint Stock Company (PJICO) digital transformation consulting project from 2023 to 2028. The project will be implemented in three stages.
First, FPT Digital will conduct a survey and collect the required data to assess PJICO and its subsidiaries’ digital transformation maturity. The evaluation will serve as the foundation for identifying the major objectives of the digital transformation strategy.
Following that, FPT Digital will assess PJICO’s digital transformation maturity based on six primary categories: Customer Experience; Strategy; Technology Infrastructure; Operation; Corporate Culture; Data and Information Assets. As a result, FPT Digital will advise PJICO on developing and implementing digital transformation plans based on the company’s current capacity and potential.
Finally, FPT Digital will give training and workshops on how to implement digital transformation projects at PJICO, preparing the core team with knowledge and skills for implementation and keeping the digital transformation process on track.
