On the afternoon of November 13th, in Vung Tau, Mr. Vuong Quan Ngoc, Digital Transformation Consultancy’s Director, participated in a roundtable discussion on “Digital Culture during the Digital Transformation Era.” The event was organized by the Veterans Association of Vietnam National Oil & Gas Group, in collaboration with the Trade Union and the Youth Union of the Group.
The participants of the roundtable included Major General Nguyen Minh Hoang, Deputy Chairman of the Veterans Association of Vietnam. Representing the Vietnam National Oil & Gas Group (Petrovietnam) were Comrade Pham Quang Dung, Member of the Central Executive Committee of the Veterans Association of Vietnam, Member of the Party Committee’s Executive Committee, Chairman of the Veterans Association of the Group; Comrade Nguyen Manh Kha, Deputy Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam National Oil & Gas Group; Comrade Pham Dang An, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Group; Comrade Vu Thi Thu Huong, Deputy Head of the Communication and Corporate Culture Department of the Group, along with delegates from various associations within the Veterans Association of the Group, representatives from the Trade Union and the Youth Union of different units within the Group.
In his opening speech, Comrade Pham Quang Dung, Chairman of the Veterans Association of the Group, emphasised that the roundtable discussion on “Digital Culture during the Digital Transformation Era” aimed to affirm the position, role, and significance of digital culture in the current era of digital transformation. It also aimed to define the roles and importance of the Executive Committees of the Veterans Association at all levels in leading and directing digital transformation efforts in general, and “realizing digital culture” in the thinking and actions of officials and members of the association in particular.
In his speech at the roundtable discussion, Major General Nguyen Minh Hoang, Deputy Chairman of the Veterans Association of Vietnam, acknowledged and appreciated the active and adaptive efforts of the Veterans Association of the Group in the implementation of digital transformation with specific characteristics of the country’s key economic sector, and especially the discussion with the topic “Digital culture in the era of digital transformation” is very interesting and very meaningful and practical in the current digital transformation period.
During his presentation at the roundtable discussion, guest speaker Vuong Quan Ngoc, Digital Transformation Consultancy’s Director at FPT Digital, provided insights into the importance of digital transformation in contemporary life, particularly in the business sector. Mr. Ngoc emphasised that “Digital culture needs to be established within enterprises, especially those in the oil and gas industry. Digitization gradually replaces human labour…”. The discussions and speeches unanimously confirmed that digital culture is an objective necessity in the era of Industry 4.0, not only for the Vietnam National Oil & Gas Group but also for the Veterans Association, Trade Union, and Youth Union of the Group. Digital culture deeply impacts production and directly influences the quality of petroleum exploitation of the Group. Implementing digital transformation and digital culture is an essential prerequisite for every collective and individual within the enterprise; a driving force for its digital transformation; the human factor plays a decisive role in this transformation…
During the discussions at the roundtable, all delegates affirmed that digital culture is an objective necessity and of great importance in the technological era, and Petrovietnam is not exempt from this trend. Digital culture profoundly affects strategic production and business operations and directly impacts the quality of petroleum exploitation.
The roundtable discussion was dynamic with presentations from guest speakers and insightful exchanges among the Veterans Association, Trade Union, and Youth Union of various units within the Group.
