On 14/04/2023 in Hanoi, FPT Digital supports the Private Economic Development Research Department (Division IV) and the Asia Foundation (TAF) to organize a workshop: “Green Transition Roadmap and what businesses need to know”.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Michael R. DiGregorio, TAF Representative in Vietnam; Mr. Vu Chi Cong – Senior Head of ESG of VinaCapital; Dr. Nguyen Phuong Nam – General Director of Klinova Climate Innovation Consulting & Services; Mr. Bui Quang Duy, Asia-Pacific Investment Specialist, Global Climate Cooperation Fund; TS. To Xuan Phuc, Program Director of Resource Management and Trade Policy, Forest Trends (USA); Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Thuy – Managing Director of Division IV Office.
During the workshop, topics ranging from general to measurement methods in the green transformation roadmap of enterprises were thoroughly discussed. In addition, the main pillars to pay attention to in the transition roadmap were also commented by the parties to contribute to raising awareness of green transformation for Vietnamese enterprises.
Carbon credits and exchange mechanisms were also covered in the workshop. The parties emphasized on the global carbon credit market, some policies related to this market and how to trade as well as opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises to participate. In addition, the overview of green credit was also discussed, combined with opportunities, challenges, and solutions for Vietnamese enterprises in the process of approaching.
