On November 21, FPT Digital was honored to receive the award for “Enterprise with outstanding contributions to Environment, Society and Governance in Vietnam” awarded by the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) within the framework AmCham ESG Impact Showcase 2023 event.
This is an annual award organized by AmCham Vietnam to recognize and honour outstanding achievements in initiatives on Environment, Society and Governance – abbreviated as ESG. – in Viet Nam. To achieve this award, an organization’s ESG activities need to have clear goals, and measurable results, build meaningful collaborations, bring value and be committed to a common goal.
This year, FPT Digital was honoured along with 9 excellent representatives including Microsoft Vietnam, Master Card, and P&G… AmCham evaluates these as outstanding examples in integrating ESG goals into long-term strategies, contributing to building a responsible business ecosystem in Vietnam.
In 2023 alone, FPT Digital has organized and participated as a speaker at more than 30 conferences on ESG, helping to raise awareness of ESG and sustainable development for more than 300 domestic and foreign businesses. At the same time, the business also released 22 reports and in-depth analyses on ESG, attracting more than 500,000 views and downloads on the official website.
Ms. Susan Burns, US Consul General in Ho Chi Minh City, sent congratulations and acknowledged the companies’ great contributions to ESG activities. She shared: “The ESG Impact Awards are an opportunity to honour companies that have created a positive impact in Vietnam and demonstrate that businesses can thrive by doing good.”
ESG is a set of three standards that measure factors related to the sustainable development orientation and activities of businesses. This is considered an inevitable trend in the development process of every organization and every country. Developing business according to ESG orientation and standards helps bring many multi-dimensional benefits and values to businesses. However, this is not a simple process that requires in-depth knowledge and experience from leading experts.
